Microblading & Semi-Permanent Makeup

Semi-permanent makeup (also known as semi-PMU) applications use tiny needles and various techniques to implant pigments into the skin for a more defined shape.

Microblading

Microblading is a technique using a super-fine pen (technically, a bundle of 12 to 15 needles) to deposit pigment into skin. The needles reach only into the superficial layers of the skin, which is what makes the method semi-permanent (versus permanent, like traditional cosmetic tattoos).

Eyeliner

Also known as lash enhancement. Eyeliner is customizable with or without the cute wings. The black pigment will be deposited along the lash line to enhance the density lash line and create a bigger eye, making your eye pop and brighten/awaken your look. The density fades overtime. It could last up to 2-3 years, however. To retain the density and fresh look, an annual touch-up or color boost is recommended. Eyeliner that is 2 years or older will be considered as a new service.

*Important note — lash extensions must be removed beforehand and could be re-applied 10 days after your appointment. Lash lift and tint are acceptable, but must be done no later than 3 days prior to your appointment and at least 10 days after your appointment.

Microshading

Microshading is a combination of hair strokes and powder techniques to create a fuller, fluffier, and perfect shape. It is ideal for those who prefer to see the "hair strokes”, have sparse and uneven brows with coarse hairs.

Ombre Powder brow

Ombre Powder brow is a  semi-permanent brow technique that creates a soft and powdered makeup look that subtly fills in your brow, all the while making it look natural. Powder brow technique uses a digital machine, which allows soft pixels of color to be layered onto the brows to create the perfect and “dense” shape, as opposed to microblading which is more subtle.

Ombre powder brow is for anyone who prefers a more dense-looking and perfect shape, and the go-to for those with oily skin/large pores/scarring. The gradient could be customized, whether from top to bottom or front to tail of the brow, and typically lasts longer than microblading.

Lip Blushing

Lip blushing is a form of cosmetic tattoo that enhances the beauty of the natural lip color/lipstick color (lipstick usually fades and smears after eating and needs to be reapplied).

Lip blushing improves both the color and shape of the lips, giving definition and the illusion of fullness.

Our goal is to ensure you receive the best results from your treatment. To do so, your skin must be healthy, strong, and free of any irritation. Not all clients are good candidates for permanent makeup due to their compromised skin condition or pre-existing medical conditions.

If you have any of the conditions listed below, your color retention will be affected, and unfortunately you will not be a good candidate for the permanent makeup procedure.

Skin conditions:

  • Ingrown hairs and open bumps on eyebrow-injured skin cannot be tattooed

  • Eczema (Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)- skin is not healthy

  • Psoriasis (Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)- skin is not healthy

  • Dermatitis (Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)- skin is not healthy

  • Rosacea (chronic acne-like skin indicated by redness)- skin bleeds easy and will not retain color well

  • Severely oily skin on eyebrows-the hair strokes will appear more blended, solid, or not retain at all

  • Large pores on your forehead & in the eyebrow area- color will blur/blend in large pores resulting in a powdered look

  • Have moles/raised areas/piercings in or around the brow/eye area- anything raised or indented will not retain color

  • Deep wrinkles in the brow area-the hair strokes will not lay properly in the creases, giving the eyebrows an uneven look

  • Hair transplant for your eyebrows-color will not take in the scar tissue where the plugs were placed

  • Shingles-permanent makeup will not be performed as the procedure could cause a flare-up

  • Fitzpatrick Skin types 1 (red heads/translucent skin)- due to hypersensitivity and thinness, this skin type does not take the color well.

  • Accutane or Retin-A (acne medication) within the last year- skin composition is altered and will not heal well. Must wait 1 year before treatment

  • Retinol or Vitamin A user- skin composition is altered and will not heal well. Must discontinue use 1 month prior to treatment

  • Extremely thin skin- transparent or translucent bleeds easily and cannot hold color due to its thinness

  • If you come in with a tan or sunburn- skin is not normal color and is possibly damaged

  • Use of Latisse, infinityLash or any eyelash/eyebrow growth conditioner - skin will be hypersensitive and bleed easily. Use must be discontinued for 2 months prior to procedure

Medical conditions:

  • Pregnant or nursing (at risk and sensitive due to change in hormones)

  • Hemophilia (high risk- cannot stop bleeding)

  • Heart Conditions/Pace Maker/Defibrillator (No exceptions) (high risk)

  • Body runs hot (increased bleeding which prevents color deposit)

  • Bleeding disorders (increased bleeding which prevents color deposit)

  • Thyroid condition and taking medication for this condition (Hypo, Hyperthyroidism, Graves Disease, Hashimoto’s- results in thicker skin) healing is unpredictable and more touch-ups may be required

  • Auto Immune Disorder such as LUPUS or Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (MS, RA, Lupus or the like)

  • Due to the medicines to treat these diseases, color will not retain. Also the facial skin is not healthy and is/or bumpy, and the color will not heal evenly)

  • Trichotillomania (Compulsive pulling of body hair) Due to constant pulling, scar tissue is prominent and color will not heal evenly/properly

If you are on any of these medications, you could experience excessive bleeding and color retention may be compromised:

  • Accutane

  • Retin-A

  • Triflusal (Disgren)

  • Clopidogrel (Plavix)

  • Prasugrel (Effient)

  • Ticagrelor (Brilinta)

  • Ticlopidine (Ticlid)

  • Cilostazol (Pletal)

  • Vorapaxar (Zontivity)

  • Dipyridamole (Persantine

  • Coumadin

*If you fail to disclose any of the above skin conditions/medical conditions/medications, you will have a poor outcome and further touch-ups to improve the results will be at an additional cost.

Permanent makeup is NOT recommended for any clients who are or have:

  • Pregnant or Nursing

  • Diabetic

  • Previous Permanent Makeup on brow area, unless the density of color is 30% or less

  • Viral infections and/or diseases

  • Epilepsy
